![]() While I get the point you were driving at - There was no Orgrim Doomhammer model in Warcraft II. It's not gonna be worth the time and money investment. They wouldn't be able to 'port' a single solitary thing from the original game. You'd be asking them to do multiple times the work they did on WC3, in a setting where there's only 2 races, and most of the plot had been reinvented by books. Beyond archaic mission design, the maps are mind-numbingly simplistic, it only works with 2 identical factions, there's virtually no lore in the game beyond loadscreens, and what little lore there is has generally been retconned. I believe that most of the dev time went specifically into tweaking the campaigns. There's at least one instance of a map, or multiple, needing a lot of new content in each campaign, including completely new characters and mechanics. And then you've got maps that just can't be the same because the events therein got expanded upon later - so Quel'Thalas is being overhauled just as well. Look at Dalaran from the undead campaign, those maps were barely even finished. Let's face it, by 2019 standards a lot of the maps in the original are just too bland. They seemingly had to rework WC3 from near scratch to meet modern polish/content/gameplay standards.
